Louise L Hay is the internationally renowned author of "You Can Heal Your Life" and is known as one of the founders of the self-help movement. She is truly an incredible woman, who not only healed herself but sends a healing message of love and unlimited possibilities to the millions that are inspired by her message.
Here are 5 key messages I learned from Louise L Hay and her teachings:-
By Fay Heartwell
Message #1 - Your thoughts are energy and become things that show up in your life through the process of like attracting like which is the Law of Attraction. Think thoughts of love and appreciation and become aware of negative thoughts. Ask yourself, "is this really true?"
Message #2 - Learning to love and accept yourself is the key to feeling happy. You are perfect just the way you are. Take responsibility for nurturing the different parts of you, your inner child, inner teenager, etc and accept your feelings of pain and suffering and then let them go. You deserve to feel happy and joyful.
Message #3 - Your body is a mirror of the thoughts and beliefs you hold and your cells respond to what you think and say about yourself. Dis-ease in the body can be healed through changing long held damaging beliefs and holding new empowering beliefs about the body's ability to heal itself.
Message #4 - Tools like affirmations, visualisation and mirror work can heal your life. Develop a daily practise of focusing on the change you want to see in yourself. Let go of the criticism habit and create a habit of celebrating who you are. Mirror work is a powerful tool to get to the crunch of what you really feel about yourself. Once you know your starting point you can build your self-esteem and belief. Use the classic affirmation, "I love and approve of myself exactly as I am."
Message #5 -Part of the healing process is becoming aware of what we need to heal. Some patterns are buried deep inside our unconscious. We can access these through noticing the circumstances we are attracting in our lives and asking empowering questions, such as "what is there for me to learn about this situation?" You will be able to hear your inner guidance when you take steps either through meditation or quiet time alone, to switch off the constant chatter of your mind. Follow your guidance and heal the pattern of behaviour that has been holding you back.
Louise L Hay and her teachings continue to spread throughout the world, helping people to change their limited perspectives on what is possible in life.
Louise L. Hay - Loving Yourself
Deep at the centre of my being there is an infinite well of love.
I now allow this love to flow to the surface.
It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness, my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions and returns to me multiplied.
The more love I use and give, the more I have to give, the supply is endless.
The use of love makes me feel good; it is an expression of my inner joy.
Yes, I love myself, therefore I take loving care of my body.
I lovingly feed it nourishing food and beverages.
I lovingly groom it and dress it and my body lovingly responds to me with vibrant health and energy.
I love myself, therefore I provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in.
I fill the rooms with the vibration of love so that all who enter, myself included, will feel this love and be nourished by it.
I love myself, therefore I work at a job that I truly enjoy doing, one that uses all my talents and abilities, working with and for people that I love and love me, and earning a good income.
I love myself, therefore, I behave in a loving way to all people for I know that that which I give out returns to me multiplied.
I only attract loving people in my world for they are a mirror of what I am.
I love myself, therefore I forgive and totally release the past and all past experiences and I am free.
I love myself, therefore I love totally in the now, experiencing each moment as good and knowing that my future is bright, and joyous and secure, for I am a beloved child of the universe and the universe lovingly takes care of me now and forever more.
And so it is.
